Insurance Options
With so many insurance options available, its sometimes difficult to wade through, and make sense of, all the literature. My goal is to provide you with an overview of what's available, in plain English, so that you don't need to be a certified insurance broker to understand it. And if you still need some help in figuring out what's what, I'm here to help.
CRITICAL ILLNESS insurance
This insurance provides a lump sum of money payable to the insured upon the medical diagnosis of any one of 25 standardized critical illnesses such as heart attack, stroke, cancer, multiple sclerosis and Parkinson’s disease.
LIFE insurance
Some reasons to consider life insurance: to cover mortgage and other credit balances after one’s death, to cover final expenses such as funeral expenses, to cover taxes and probate fees upon death or to make a charitable donation.
travel insurance
This insurance covers the traveller for any out of province/out of country medical emergency while travelling. This can be purchased as a stand alone emergency medical benefit, or as a package which can include trip cancellation and interruption coverage as well as baggage loss protection.
DISABILITY insurance
This type of insurance offers a monthly benefit in the event that the insured suffers an injury or illness rendering him or her unable to perform the duties of their job or profession, or in some cases, any other occupation.
Long term care insurance
This insurance pays out a monthly benefit for the purposes of assisting in the costs associated with long term care. These costs could be associated with: personal or attendant care, nursing care, long term residential care plus more.
health and dental insurance
These insurance benefit plans fully or partially cover medical and dental expenses such as medications, massage therapy, chiropractic care, orthotics, physiotherapy and psychological services.
